Also, if you go to Newport, Rhode Island, they used to have a jai-alai place but it is GONE now and I got so excited for it and was devastated when it wasn't there. Now it says SLOTS on it in big letters. I went past it a few times in the car. I sobbed hysterically each time. (Not really, but you get the idea.)

So last night we found a kitten and HE IS IN OUR ROOM RIGHT NOW and his name is Murphy! And this morning Shingo and I tried to take him to the shelter but they were closed so now we have him for one more night! I'll post pictures when I'm not at work. Which is where I am now. Oops.

They're so cuuuuuuute! I know they won't be on display when we go to the zoo on Sunday, but they're just adorable and there are pictures and video and I want ooooone!

Also, since I haven't gotten to post in a long time, Shingo did get me a kitten! Her name is Mayumi-chan and she is the cutest thing alive. The hermit crabs - there are now only two, as little!me passed away and is now buried with crab Shingo in the backyard - are at 1863_project's house until Easter. Apparently her cats like them a lot.

Shingo died today. Crab Shingo, I mean. And I felt so terrible because crab Jin hasn't come out of his shell since - he's so lonely now and he has nobody to go to. I kind of cried a lot.

Tomorrow I am going to go and get more crabs. Two, because 1863_project's mom said we should get two, not one. So there will be another Shingo and we're going to call the second one Take (because Yuji is scary). And Shingo promised me a kitten today while we were watching the Puppy Bowl (why watch football when you're clearly a baseball person?), so we will also get a kitten and that makes me really happy.

But I still miss crab Shingo a lot. He's buried in the backyard behind the house now...we dug a hole and put a rock over him. I cried then, too. He was really sweet and I loved him so much and everything...

Someday, that will be Yama-chan and me. We're learning to do the dance and Shingo is going to karaoke the song in front of us. With his, erm, Christmas present. Yeah.
